WOYWW 200

Hello everyone!!  I am back lol!

Sorry that I missed last week.  I had my cousin with me for nearly a week and we had great fun together.  I would not have missed that time with her for the world.  My cousin is battling cancer and now they have found a tumour in her head as well...the only good thing about that is it is slow growing.  Oh how I wish they would find a cure.  I lost my beautiful husband to a malignant brain tumour and to see such a beautiful lady struggle with this inhumane disease is just so heartbreaking....  Both my husband and cousin handled/ handling this horrible disease with just such great dignity and are an inspiration to others.

I have been doing some art journaling, it is such a great release and a great way to show how you feel when you can't put something into words.   I have my first class teaching art journaling on Friday and I am really looking forward to it...hopefully it will become a regular class at the craft shop to I get all my stuff from...fingers crossed!!

I hope that you all had a great week and lots of crafting to your hearts content hehehe.  I never seem to get enough time to do all I want and that little thing called life keeps getting in the way lol!  Anyway here is my desk for this week....always messy these days!

I have stuff all over the place lol!  Oh what fun I was having.  I just love my heat gun and how I now have all my favourite paints and inks at my finger tips.  The gold paint tub just in front of the journal was on clearance at Spotlight and was only $4!!  Had to have that and it is the most beautiful gold and good for dripping!!

These are a few of the journals that I have done over the last week...fun, fun, fun!!  I hope that you all have a great day and enjoy the blog hopping for WOYWW thanks to the wonderful Julia Dunnit over at Stamping Ground ... Wow I think I did that link right....oh I am learning more, maybe I will become more techy after all hehehe!  Now for a cuppa and go hopping, to enjoy the views of others!

  7. No need to apologise - you jump in and out of WOYWW as you can, we're all have to be flexible! Time spent well with your cousin is marvellous, bet you're looking forward to the next dates now...and then you plonk yourself down and create such theraputic art, how marvellous. Wonderful pages, I love your use of colour.

  9. Hi Janene - thanks for visiting me for WOYWW today, and the kind words. I'm glad you had a good time with your cousin. I'm sure she really appreciates your encouragement, as she knows you understand the roller coaster ride she's on. I don't think anything we go through in life is wasted, no matter how hard at the time, as it helps when we bump up against others further down the line. (Sorry if that sounds a bit garbled, and you get what I mean). Have a great WOYWW -hope the sun is shining as brightly for you as it is here at the mo, in Worcester UK. I'm just going to make a cuppa, put my feet up and look back through your lovely blog - great inspiration, at first glance, as I start out on journaling. xx

  11. Fab pages indeed. I love them all but the heart with the text around it really floats my boat. Never worry about dipping in and out. We all do it from time to time. And spending time with your cousin, supporting her, is reason enough. Sending good thoughts your way, and hers.

    Happy WOYWW

  12. Me again, Janene - I had to pop back and say what a great coffee break I've just had, reading back through your fab blog. You must have always been a talented artist, to be producing such fab pages for your journal. You've really whetted my appetite to be more adventurous with the one I'm planning to start - just waiting for the extra day in the week! (How did I ever find time to go out to work?!) Thanks again x

  14. I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. Prayers for her, you and your families. It is so hard to see a loved one struggle with it. My sister lost her battle this past November. Journaling is very therapeutic and I'm glad you can do that so beautifully! Love your pages and would LOVE to be in one of your classes. Best wishes on your first class! You are going to be great and your students are very lucky. Warm hugs, SueC#94

  26. Hi Janene,

I love your journal pages. I absolutely hate the "C" word. I lost my mother to colon cancer and just recently a good friend from lung cancer. It sounds like your cousin is a trooper, dealing with her disease with grace. Bless you both.

Thanks for visiting me already. I'm slowly getting around to desks today.

    Happy WOYWW

  33. Your desk is full of such interesting stash, I would love to sit down beside you and play with journaling. Your pages that you have shown are so awesome. You have shown a lot of emotion in each page. It seems that any form of art or crafting is very theraputic, and we are so fortunate to have some supplies to work with. Your cousin sounds like an angel, so glad you could spend some quality time together. Reminds me how important it is to enjoy each day with all those I love, thanks for that. Hugs Cathryn
