I know that I have been away from here for a few months but I will say that even though I haven't written I have looked in at WOYWW a couple of times just to see what all of you have been up to. :-)

Well without further ado here is my work desk this week.... taaadaa!
I am still doing a journal swap and I have 2 journals on the go as I have been a little slow in getting one on it's way.  But will have them both done by the end of the week...I can do it...I can do it!!

The next photos are what I have been up to while I have been away.....

It is great to be back and now I am off to the wonderful Julia Dunnit over at Stamping Ground who started this wonderful idea of visiting work desks all over the world of crafters and artists of all kinds.

Until next time, I hope you all have a fantastic week.

WOYWW 262

Oh my it has been a while!  I have had a wonderful holiday up at my sister's on the Gold Coast (Queensland Australia) for 2 weeks and I didn't want to come home!  The weather was beautiful and warm, not like home as it is very cold at the moment!!. I had so much fun with my sister and we even managed to get some painting in :-).

Here is my desk for this week..
Just some bits and pieces that I thought I would put on an 8"x10" canvas and see what I come up with :-).

The next photos are some pages that I have been doing and a scrapbook layout.

Hope that you all have had a great week and that the next one will be fantastic!!  Now I am off to the wonderful Julia Dunnit over at Stamping Ground and look at the desks from around the world!!  Take care everyone :-)

WOYWW 256

Hi everyone!!  I didn't make it last week as I had wonderful unexpected visitors!!  One of my bestest friends, her beautiful daughter and exchange student from Denmark that they are hosting, came for a visit to my fair town and we had the best fun. Just one of those uplifting times :-).  I hope that you all had a fantastic Easter.

Without further ado here is the desk shot....
I haven't got a lot to show this week, but I am working on a few things, that I will show at a later date.

I don't know why the top photo came out like this as it is not this way up in my photos lol! But at least you can see what I have been doing with a canvas.  I have fallen in love with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and mists.  I have used them over the entire canvas which has modelling paste and serviette work on it and I just LOVE the effect that I have gotten!!  The photo below the canvas shot are all the sprays and magical paint pots that I have bought...hehe I have been a naughty girl!  What fun I am having with them and if you want to check them out for yourselves here is the link http://www.lindystampgang.com/.

Well that's me for another week and now off to Julia's over at Stamping Ground to go around the world's arty/crafty desks :-).  See you next time.

Cheers

WOYWW 254!

Hi again!!  I say it everytime but it is sooo true that time is flying!  I hope that you all had a great week.  I have been busy and had a great Art Journal class last Friday and it was wonderful to hear some of the ladies say that it was the best class ever...warmed this ole' heart of mine it did :-).

Well no more prattling on...which I am good at...here is my desk for this week.
I am playing around with some mop up pages and just having a little..strike that...a lot of fun! And of course the lovely mess that goes with playing.  Lol you should see my hands!!
When I was doing the sample for the class last Friday which I showed in last weeks WOYWW, I was also trying to get a 9"x 12" canvas finished to show them as well....huh that didn't get done....but now I have it finally completed, I thought that I would share with you :-).

That's me for this week and now I am off to our lovely leader Julia at Stamping Ground and check out as many desks as I can this week.

Cheers

WOYWW 253

Wow!!  Another week gone and it is now the 9th of April....this year is just whizzing by!!  How are you all this week?  I hope that you have been able to have some arty/crafty time :-).  I have come to discover that if I do not spent time in my art/craft area...I am not the nicest person, as it keeps me....hmmm shall I say 'sane' lol!
These are my desk shots this week and you can see how messy it is!

The next photo is a sample that I started and had on my desk shot last week and said that I would show you the finished page this week.  I will be doing this for the next art journal class this Friday.
I am in an Australian art journal swap with 15 women and I have just finished a page in the 2nd journal that I have received.  The theme of this journal is 'Oriental'...had some fun thinking up a page for that, but I did and this it it :-)!
Hope you all have a great week and now I am off to Stamping Ground to visit with Julia and check out all the wonderful desks this week.  Take care.

Cheers

WOYWW 252

Hello everyone!!  I am finally back on the net, my wonderful brother built my new computer to how I wanted it and came and set it up last weekend.  I am soooooo glad to have a decent computer again.  The last one just died about 3 weeks ago, but we had been nursing it along.  But all good now...I feel like I got my right arm back lol!!

What have all you gals and guys been up to?  I will be doing a lot of checking out later ;-).  Last weekend we had Craft Alive in town and I was demoing for the craft store that I do the Art Journal classes at.  It was a lot of fun and when I looked around...oh my... did I spend heaps!!  I was only supposed to do a demo for 2 hours on the 2nd day but for some reason it ended up being 3 hours...I couldn't believe it.  They say that times flies when you have fun...and it is true!! :-).

Here is my desk for this week starting the sample for the next class on the 11 April.  I got the idea from Finnabair...I just LOVE her work.

Not very interesting yet I know, but I will show you the finished samples next week.  The next photo are just some of the stash that I have bought in the last couple of months..

.....oh dear no wonder I can't save any money hehe.

The next photos are the samples that I did for the last Art Journal class on the 14 March, which was what was on my desk shot  in WOYWW 248.

Now off to see our lovely leader over at stampingground and check out some desks from across the world. Looking forward to seeing you all again!  Wishing you a wonderful  art/crafty week :-)

WOYWW 248!! WOW!

Lol I can't believe that we are up to WOYWW 248!  This year is already zooming by...sigh :-(.  But hello everybody!!  I hope that this last week has treated you well.  I can't complain except at the flying time bit.
Without further ado here is my desk shot this week...a bit on the dark side as it was overcast outside when I took it.
As you can see from my very messy desk that I am going to do something with serviettes!  I have fallen in love with using them to create a background and if you read my last post you would have seen the Jane Davenport face stencil that I used with the serviettes and created a picture using these things.  I was so happy with the way it turned out that the girls at my last art journal class asked if that could be the subject of the next lesson.  Of course I said yes hehe, so they will learn how to use serviettes to create a picture and face with the stencils.  Also we will be using the Lyra water soluble crayons, that are very similar to the Neo Color II's that I have.  Will be lots of fun :-)!
The photo above is a book that I ordered from the http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/ where I tend to get all my books and they have FREE postage around the world!!  This has turned out to be a fantastic learning tool to draw faces and I am thoroughly recommending it if you want to learn how to draw your own faces!
This last photo is a painting that I did that is from the lesson of Week 7 of Life Book 2014, Tamara Laporte is the wonderful lady that started Life Book and this is one of her lessons.  I am 3 weeks behind....but hey I will get there eventually hehe!

Now I am heading over to our illustrious leader :-) Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground and look and comment on as many wonderful desks as I can.  I try to comment on as many as I can but sometimes I don't get around to doing that but I want you to know that I do look at as many desks as I can even if I don't leave a comment...I just love visiting and seeing what everyone is up to :-).
Wishing you all a fantastic week!!

Cheers
