WOYWW 256

Hi everyone!!  I didn't make it last week as I had wonderful unexpected visitors!!  One of my bestest friends, her beautiful daughter and exchange student from Denmark that they are hosting, came for a visit to my fair town and we had the best fun. Just one of those uplifting times :-).  I hope that you all had a fantastic Easter.

Without further ado here is the desk shot....
I haven't got a lot to show this week, but I am working on a few things, that I will show at a later date.

I don't know why the top photo came out like this as it is not this way up in my photos lol! But at least you can see what I have been doing with a canvas.  I have fallen in love with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and mists.  I have used them over the entire canvas which has modelling paste and serviette work on it and I just LOVE the effect that I have gotten!!  The photo below the canvas shot are all the sprays and magical paint pots that I have bought...hehe I have been a naughty girl!  What fun I am having with them and if you want to check them out for yourselves here is the link http://www.lindystampgang.com/.

Well that's me for another week and now off to Julia's over at Stamping Ground to go around the world's arty/crafty desks :-).  See you next time.

Cheers

Janene xx

  2. The sprays look as if they have a lustre to hem which looks interesting. But the thing I noticed the most ( after your gorgeous canvas of course) is your gorgeous Sellotape dispenser.... It's fab.

  11. Your canvas is really looking fantastic, love your shelves with all the mediums on it. I so love the starbursts stains and spritzers gosh they have been around for many moons, but something that I really love using in mixed media work like yours. Thanks for sharing.

  12. What a simply gorgeous canvas, Janene. I love the look of the sprays and paints too and I bet all that shimmer shows up a lot better in real life than in the photo. Also, I am in love with your blog background! Fabby fabby fabby.

Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment - glad you like my desk! There's a lot more of it as it snakes its way right around the room! I am a very happy bunny to have such a great studio to work in. One day I will do a video tour of it. As for the hanging rack, I got the idea off Pinterest and it works extremely well for me. I got packs of 50 each of little rings that open, and clips that are really for conference badges, both from Ebay. For me it's the ideal way to store my stamps because I can keep them with their original packaging, so when I blog about them I can say what they are. I've got my 2 Tim Holtz palettes hanging there too, one with Perfect Pearls and the other with alcohol inks, made up like watercolours so I can apply them with a wet brush (alcohol blending pen in the case of the alcohol inks). Handy little shelf above, too, for storing my embossing powders and embossing folders!

  13. Wonderful desk, loving all that inky painty yumminess! The canvas looks interesting... I never know which way round blogger is going to post my photos - eventually I gave up and moved to livewriter which gives me more photo control. And surpise visits are often the bestest!!
