WOYWW 248!! WOW!

Lol I can't believe that we are up to WOYWW 248!  This year is already zooming by...sigh :-(.  But hello everybody!!  I hope that this last week has treated you well.  I can't complain except at the flying time bit.
Without further ado here is my desk shot this week...a bit on the dark side as it was overcast outside when I took it.
As you can see from my very messy desk that I am going to do something with serviettes!  I have fallen in love with using them to create a background and if you read my last post you would have seen the Jane Davenport face stencil that I used with the serviettes and created a picture using these things.  I was so happy with the way it turned out that the girls at my last art journal class asked if that could be the subject of the next lesson.  Of course I said yes hehe, so they will learn how to use serviettes to create a picture and face with the stencils.  Also we will be using the Lyra water soluble crayons, that are very similar to the Neo Color II's that I have.  Will be lots of fun :-)!
The photo above is a book that I ordered from the http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/ where I tend to get all my books and they have FREE postage around the world!!  This has turned out to be a fantastic learning tool to draw faces and I am thoroughly recommending it if you want to learn how to draw your own faces!
This last photo is a painting that I did that is from the lesson of Week 7 of Life Book 2014, Tamara Laporte is the wonderful lady that started Life Book and this is one of her lessons.  I am 3 weeks behind....but hey I will get there eventually hehe!

Now I am heading over to our illustrious leader :-) Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground and look and comment on as many wonderful desks as I can.  I try to comment on as many as I can but sometimes I don't get around to doing that but I want you to know that I do look at as many desks as I can even if I don't leave a comment...I just love visiting and seeing what everyone is up to :-).
Wishing you all a fantastic week!!

Cheers

Janene

  4. That book looks fun. I can't draw even simple shapes, but I admire anyone who can. And your face is awesome. Thanks for visiting already. I had to change the batteries in my mouse AND my keyboard after I linked in. I've never had to change both at the same time before. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  10. Sounds as though you have lots of arty things on the go at the moment, I saw Jane Davenport at the Brisbane scrapbooking convention but she had sold out of those face stencils... you just reminded me about them! Annette #3
