WOW 228!!

Where has the time gone?????  Hi everyone, I have missed a couple of weeks...life it gets in the way! I haven't got a desk photo today, but it looks the same as the others desk photos that I have put up lol!  Nothing changes sometimes...but it is a happy mess :-).  Julia has gone away I see, and has posted early...good on her for getting away.  Pop on over to her site and join in the hop around the world peeking at all the crafty arty desks at Stamping Ground

I have some photos to show....and here they are... tadaaa...

This is what I taught the girls to do at the last art journal class using the Gelli Plate.  I saw a YouTube video on the Gelli Arts channel showing how you can make your own beautiful tape using the Gelli Plate.....so I did and thought wow I have to show the girls...and I did...and they thought it was great!!  So do I hehe.  Such great tips out there in the www!!!

These next 2 photos are pages that I have done over the last couple of weeks and this is what art journaling is all about....letting out the emotions that sometimes get to much for you.  I released a lot of negative and upsetting emotions and was able to handle things a lot better. To say that this form of art has helped me greatly over the last year...then the answer is a resounding YES!
This last photo is the canvas that I did for the kids holiday class, and we all had a great time!!  The kids can come up with some great ideas and colour combinations lol!

I hope you all have a wonderful week and hopefully I will see you again next week.  Now off to visit some desks....yep big cup of tea in hand :-).

  7. Hi Janene
looking at your pages it sounds as though you have been through some very troubled times and I am so pleased that your art/craft has been able to help you through it.
I love what you did with the gelli plate and the sticky tape I have seen this on Youtube videos a couple of times.
I am sure the girls are getting some great techniques and inspiration from you at your work shops.
Please know that if life is getting to you and is unpleasant you have a lot of friends here and I would love to offer myself up as someone you can talk to

  9. Great Gelli prints, but I adore your journal pages! I love my journal, but haven't had journal time in awhile, life does get in the way. But I am having signs of withdrawal, so I need to get with it again. LOL

  16. I saw some raised eyebrows and a face that screamed - I am a little angry. What a great way to release those negative feelings and clear the psyche. The canvas is so cute - I just love those stamps. Thank you for visiting me earlier. April #61
